I recently finished a scale model of the legendary London shop Groove Records. It was a total labour of love, taking many hours over a period of around 3 months. You can see my Instagram post for general Groove info, but here's a few more images and details of the model if you'd like to know more...

I learned a lot making my first model - the Wild Style amphitheater - but I'm by no means an expert in any of the techniques I've used. I've always been pretty good with my hands, but I devoured many, many hours of YouTube modelling videos before I started this journey.
I made many pilgrimages from the South Coast up to Groove back in the day, plus having spent so many years into hip hop and it's associated genres obviously helped here.
The main materials used for the model were 20mm EPS foam board, balsa wood, giant lolly sticks and styrene sheet. I used Blender to create a digital 3D model for planning it all out, with my Bambu A1 3D printer being used to create the rounded roof section. The lamp post was the same way, but everything else was made by hand.
The model has internal shop lighting, plus an illuminated Groove sign outside. There's also lighting in the rather dubious first floor, the decor of which I took some artistic license, having never been up there - honest!
So here are some glory shots, followed by some more construction pics...
